Job Op - Neighborhood Stabilization Programs Coordinator, Habitat for Humanity Fresno County

Salary Range: $32,000-$40,000

Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Executive Director

JOB SUMMARY:
The NSPC will increase the awareness and impact of the mission of Habitat for Humanity
Fresno County by developing and implementing community revitalization programs that
complement new house construction efforts and mobilize new human and financial
resources.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Develop and implement the affiliate’s rehabilitation program, “A Brush with
Kindness,” in accordance with the affiliate’s strategic plan and Habitat for Humanity
International guidelines.
• Develop rehabilitation programs with the City of Fresno, Housing Authorities of the
City and County of Fresno, City of Fresno RDA, City of Clovis RDA and other Fresno
County jurisdictions as appropriate.
• Develop and implement the affiliate’s outlying communities’ strategies in accordance
with the affiliate’s strategic plan, Board of Directors directives and Habitat for
Humanity International guidelines.
• Develop and expand positive working relationships with community organizations
and leaders, including churches, service groups, businesses, educational
institutions, and jurisdictional staff through personal interactions, small group
gatherings and outreach fairs. Developing deeper relationships with local churches
will be a primary focus.
• In conjunction with the Resource Development Director, coordinate public relations
and promotional activities that raise general community awareness of Habitat for
Humanity Fresno County and housing issues in Fresno County.
• Ensure affiliate effectiveness and unity by working in close collaboration with all
other affiliate staff members.
• Develop and maintain a contact database.
• Recruit, place and manage appropriate community outreach volunteers or volunteer
committees.
• Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours (such as weekends and
evenings) when necessary.
