The California Arts Council's Creating Public Value Program (CPV) is designed to promote a framework for thinking about the intrinsic and instrumental benefits of the arts; and to recognize that the resources artists, arts organizations, and others bring to a community play a key role in making a positive contribution to the individual and collective lives of all Californians.
Through CPV, the Arts Council will partner with small California arts organizations in rural and underserved communities to support new or expanded projects to highlight the fact that the arts are of benefit to all Californians and are worthy of state and federal investment. The Arts Council defines public value as making a positive contribution to the individual and collective lives of all Californians through the arts. In this context, CPV seeks proposals that address outcomes by utilizing the tools of the program identified as The Three Rs: Relationships (building new or expanding existing partnerships); Relevance (to audiences and community by expanding public participation); and Return on Investment (through public awareness, promoting your organization's public value and social/economic impact to civic and political leaders, community supporters, audiences, and participants).
The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) invites contractors to submit proposals for a design for a new "Art Works" logo for the National Endowment for the Arts and then produce a finished design that may be reproduced by the Agency in print and online, as described in their attached solicitation.
Proposal Receipt Deadline: Friday, February 26, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. (EST)

Moving Walls is an exhibition series that features in-depth and nuanced explorations of human rights and social issues. Thematically linked to OSI's mission, Moving Walls is exhibited at OSI's offices in New York and Washington, DC and includes 7 discrete bodies of work.
Moving Walls recognizes the brave and difficult work that photographers undertake globally in their documentation of complex social and political issues. Their images provide the world with human rights evidence, put faces onto a conflict, document the struggles and defiance of marginalized people, reframe how issues are discussed publicly, and provide opportunities for reflection and discussion. Through Moving Walls, OSI honors this work while visually highlighting the mission of our foundation to staff and visitors.
